Heather Hite Stone
Bio
Heather has a passion for representing our most vulnerable citizens such as children, teenagers, those with special needs, the elderly, and sexual assault victims. She has years of experience bringing cases against group homes, institutions, daycares, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, and other facilities. Heather loves being an advocate for those who can’t speak for themselves. As a mother herself, Heather has a heart for children and wants to make South Carolina safer for its most vulnerable citizens.
She has handled wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases for children and adults who have died, experienced sexual assaults, or been seriously injured due to the negligence of their caregivers or the State. Some of her child abuse cases involve filing constitutional claims for the children’s civil rights under the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
Heather also represents victims of car wrecks, injured railroad workers, serious slip and fall injuries, medical malpractice, burn injuries, workers’ compensation injuries, and those injured by defective products.
Heather has an active statewide practice and splits her time between the Upstate, the Midlands, and the Lowcountry. She is licensed to practice in all courts in the State of South Carolina. She also has an active federal practice and is licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
